Dart League Rules

 

1. A team shall consist of 9 players, of whom no more than 2 may be county players. No more than 2 jewish player will be allowed. A team should have at least one Catholic and one disabled player. No-one may be both Catholic and disabled. We reserve the right to check the authenticity of all jewish players.

2. One delegate from each team to attend the delegates' meeting on the third Sunday of each month. They are not allowed to discuss the business of the meeting with any other member of their team.

3. All teams to play under a name, different to that of their venue. Teams are not allowed to divulge the name of their venue to any other team. The first team to successfullly find their away venue will be awarded ten points.

4. The board shall be placed either no higher than 12 inches from the floor or no lower than 12 feet. The throw line should equal the height of the board..

5. Match sheets to be sent in no earlier than half-way through the season. However they may be sent in before the match starts if that is more convenient. No dates or team names should be entered on them as the secretaries like to spend time on puzzles.

6. After match speeches to be made by the most drunk, incomprehensible player of each team and to last at least one hour to allow the chips to go cold and soggy.

7. Anyone calling "house" whilst Chris Jones is checking will be awarded a prize upon scrutiny of his card by the committee.

8. Any player scoring over 26 with three darts will be dope-tested. Anyone found to be a dope will automatically become a member of the league committee.

9. All protests to be made vocally before the match starts, to be considered and filed in the usual place by the league committee. When the bin.....sorry filing cabinet is full no more protests will be considered until someone empties it.

10. Home team to be responsible for order. Any venue not registering 110 decibels during any throw will be disqualified from holding any league matches in future.
